Mrs. Ruth Coulter Dies Mrs. Ruth Smith Coulter, 66, of 363 South Road, Town of Poughkeepsle, died Friday at Vassar Hospital after a short illness. She was born jn Lynbrook, L.I., March 26, 1909, the daughter of Frederick and Florence (Jones) Smith. An area resident since 1930, she was president of the Poughkeepsle Visiting Nurses Service and past president of the Poughkeepsle Day Nursery. She was a member of the Mahwenawaslgh Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Poughkeepsle; the Daughters of New England Women; Colonial Dames of America; the Dutchess Golf and Country Club, and Christ Episcopal Church. She was an honorary member of the Poughkeepsle Tennis Club and a Volunteer ambulance driver with the Dutchess County Red Cross during World War II. Her husband, Dr. John M. Coulter Sr., a Poughkeepsle dentist, died on Dec. 28, 1969. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Smith Coulter, with whom she made her home; a son, John M.
