SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. Joseph Thompson Jr 41, of 2M Golden Gate Ave. here, a former resident of Poughkeepsie, died la San Francisco on Aug. 7. A Saa Francisco resident for 10 years, he was counselor at Hospitality House la Saa Francisco.

He served la the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps as a corporal la the Korean War. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church la Poughkeepsle. He was bora la Poughkeepsle on Feb. 24, 1IM, the sob of Joseph and Lucille (Williams) Thompson, both, of whom survive la Poughkeepsle.

Other survivors are his former wife, Joaa Thompson MUllgan; two children, Kim Thompson of Florida and Derek Thompson of the VS. Army 'Camp Lejeune, S.C.; three brothers, Clayton, Arnold and Oar land, all of Poughkeepsle; one sister, Mrs. Yvette Ellis of Seattle, one aunt; two great aunts, and several nieces and nephews.
