Miss Piccirilli's Troth To Mr. Mitchell Announced -Poughkeepsie Journal Sunday, February 14, -1971 Kathleen Freney Wed Announcement is made of the engagement of Miss Joanne Piccirilli to Thomas Mitchell by the future bride's- parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. Piccirilli, Mechanicville.

Mr. Mitchell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mitchell, LaGrangeville. An alumnus of the State University College at Plattsburgh, Miss Piccirilli formerly taught in the Arlington School District.

Currently she is teaching at BOCES for Saratoga County. Mr. Mitchell, a graduate of Dutches Community employed by the International Business Machines East Fishkill. Wedding plans are incomplete. Kathe Effron Engaged To Morris Eisman Brown Dr.

and Mrs. Benjamin Effron, 135 Academy announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathe Litton Effron, to Morris Eisman Brown. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Manuel Brown, Tulsa, Okla.

Miss Effron, a 1966 graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was vice president of the senior class president of the Junior Women's Honor Socity. Miss Effron is employed by Metropolitan College, a division of Boston University. Also an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of Zeta Beta Tau social fraternity, Mr. Brown is a first year medical student at the University of Oklahoma Medical School in Oklahoma City. A June wedding is planned.

Ladies Guild To Have Fashion Show St. Martin de Porres Ladies Guild, Red Oaks Mill, is sponsoring a "Buttons and Bows" fashion show at 8 p.m. Friday in the school hall. Mrs. John Reefer is chairman, assisted with reservations by Mrs.

Vincent Brady. MISS RITA DENITTO Miss DeNitto To Be Bride Of Mr. Bowman Mr. and Mrs. Edward DeNit- to, 115 Vassar Road, announce the betrothal of their daughter, Rita, to Ralph A.

Bowman. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph G. Bowman, Hamilton, Ohio.

A 1965 alumna of Millbrook High School, Miss DeNitto is employed by the International Business Machines Mr. Bowman was graduated from Talawanda High School and Howard W. Sam's Technical Institute. Serving in the Navy at Norfolk, he is on a military leave of absence from IBM. Wedding plans are incomplete.

'Precious Gems' To Be Topic Of Antiques Club "Precious Gems" will be the topic of Leonard G. Zimmer who will be the speaker at Monday's meeting of The Study Club in the Rose Room of the YWCA. Mrs. H. Haynes Miles, president, will preside at the business meeting at 1 p.m.

Mr. Zimmer is a registered jeweler and a member of the American Gem Society. He is the third generation of his family to operate Zimmer Brothers, a jewelery business established in 1869. Mrs. Stanley Mackey will introduce the speaker.
