Classified Proverb Contest Rules Each day for a period two weeks the Eagle-News and the Evening Star will print one of A series of Cartoons representing some well known proverb or saying. Contestants solve the picture puzzles by writing the proverb that the cartoon suggests or illustrates in the blanks below the pictures. The prizes, totaling $10 in cash, will be awarded those sending in complete or near complete picture sets with the best and most appropriate answers to the pictures published.

In case of ties, neatness and originality of presentation will be considered. Cartoons should not be sent to the paper until the series is complete. Only one answer may be given to a picture. Only one member of a family will be given a prize, the award going to the person in that family submitting the best set. The answers may be written in pen, pencil, printed or typewritten, Only those answers accompanied by a receipt for at least a three day classified advertisement in the Eagle and Star will be considered -in awarding the prizes.

Such receipts must carry dates between October 1st 1934, and October 21st, 1934. At the close the contest send your entries to the Classifed Proverb Contest editor, Care of this paper.
