Mr. Davis, 17, of Hollow Road, was realdeat of Clinton since I ISO.

Ho was Involved la the engineering and construction of interstate oil and JgA pipeline! and la Investment counseling. He was a member of the Town of Clinton Planning Board and was In ftrumeatal la toning the town. He also served at eommUaloner of the Wert Clinton Fir District for 20 year. In 1171, Mr. Davis wai elected aa honorary lifetime member of the fire For many years, he wai a member the Town of Clinton Library Board and he was a board member of the Dutchess County Boy Scout Council.

127. he received a meritorious elt award for services rendered to the Town of CUn ton. Mr. Davis served oa the Dutchess Citizens Advisory Committee oa High Voltage Transmission Lines Jhi the 1170s. and again In 1M1 whea the committee was reactivated.

He also was a member of the Hyde Park Improvement Committee. Ha served on the Dutchess County Board of Representatives In the 1170s wad was a member of the Republican Committee for the Town of Clinton. bj Dutchess County Republican Committee and the New York state Republican Committee. Mr. Davis was a past president of the Rombout Hunt Club and a mem Jf of the AmrlU Club.

Ha was a former member of the City Mid Day Club and the Yale Club, both In New York City. Mr. Davis was a 1123 graduate of the Phillips Exeter Academy and a 1121 graduate of Yale University. Ha was born la IN la New Orleans, the son of George H. aad Kath erine McCrath Davis.

he married Elizabeth Carpenter Rossetl of Bedord. In addition to his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by one son. Brian Davis of Louisville. and five grandchildren.

A son, Putnam Davis died la 10S4. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Plains Presbyterian Church. Staats burgh.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County branch of the American Lung Association, US Church St, Poughkeepsie. N.Y. Arrangements are under the direction of the Allen Funeral Home. Pleasant Valley.
