34 Poughkeepsie Journal Tuesday, January 31. 1989 James S. Costigan WASSAIC James S. Costigan, 58, a member of the Steamfitters and General Pipe Fitters 1 Union Local No. 638 in Long Island City for 20 years until his retirement in 1979, at Sharon Hospital in Connecticut.

He was a resident of Wassaic for 8 years and previously lived in New Rochelle, Westchester Mr. Costigan was a member of the Amenia Fish and Game Association. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains. He was born July 11, 1930, in the Bronx, to James Joseph and Susanna Spellman Costigan.

He attended the Sacred Heart and Fordham Prep High School, both in the Bronx, and received 5 years of vocational training. On June 7, 1958, in Carmel, Putnam County, he married Marion Teresa Browne, who survives. Other survivors include a sister, Ethel E. Wetzel of Carmel; two nephews; and four nieces. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Wednesday at the Hufcut Funeral Home, Market Street, Dover Plains. Prayers will be offered at 3 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Mill Street, Dover Plains.

Father Peter Cody will officiate. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery in the spring. 3 Thomas J. Brown FISHKILL Thomas J.

Brown, 59, a senior engineering specialist for IBM East Fishkill for 24 years, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Beacon. He was a Fishkill resident for 24 years and previously lived in Clarks Summit, Penn. Mr. Brown served in the U.S.

Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Order of St. Francis of St. Lawrence Seminary in Beacon. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St.

Mary's Church in Fishkill. He was born May 23, 1929, 1 in Scranton, to Thomas A. and Mary Ellen Ruane Brown. He attended schools in Scranton and graduated from the Commercial Radio Institute in Baltimore, Md. On Aug.

29, 1953, in Scranton, he married Lillian P. Lynn, who sur- vives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mary Ellen Stanton of Acton, and Rosemary Corning of Newburgh, three sisters, Mary Alexander of Richmond, Elizabeth Ledger and Claire Lewis, both of Scranton; three grandchildren; and several nieces and hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 126 Main Fishkill.

The Third Order of St. Francis will offer prayers at 7:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to use the Jackson Street entrance. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St.

Mary's Church, Jackson Street, Fishkill. Burial will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Lawrence Seminary, Sargent Avenue, Beacon, N.Y. 12508.

Lucille Robarge MILTON Lucille Robarge, 66, a retired interior decorator for Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance of Hartford, died Monday at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck after a long illness. She was a 14-year resident of Milton and previously lived in Wethersfield, Conn. She was born' Sept. 23, 1922, in Wethersfield, to Edward and Sarah Warner Isaacson. She graduated from Wethersfield High School and attended Central Connecticut State Teachers College.

Survivors include a son, John A. Holloway of Newington, a daughter, Susan Marie Post of Poughkeepsie; two sisters, Eleanor West of Cromwell, and Barbara Nesbitt of Windsor Lochs, four grandchildren; a greatgrandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Dowling Funeral Home, 43 Fairview Poughkeepsie. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at 9:45 a.m.

Wednesday at the Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie, Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Hyde Park. Domenick Lopane MILLERTON Domenick5 Lopane, 47, 4 local businessman, died Sunday at his Route 22 home, followting a lengthy illness. Mr. Lopane owned and operated the Millerton Nursery, Millerton. A 12-year local resident, he previously had lived in the Bronx.

He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Roman Church, Amenia, and a member of the Millerton Lions Club. He was born Aug. 30, 1941, in Bari, Italy, to Nicole and Isabell Lionetti Lopane. His parents survive in Scarsdale (Westchester County), On Jan. 6, 1962, in the Bronx, he married Petrina Badalamente, who survives at home.

Other survivors include three sons, Domenick Lopane Jr. of Millerton, and Nicholas Lopane and Stephen Lopane, both at home; two daughters, Ann Marie Lopane and Petrina Lopane, both at home; three sisters, Theresa D'Melio of Wayne, Olympia Caston of Somers and Angela Lopane of Mahopac; five brothers, Frank Lopane of Dover Plains, Joseph Lopane of Katonah, Carmine Lopane of Patterson, Vincent Lopane of Pawling and Anthony Lopane of Carmel; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be private. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at noon Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Amenia. The Rev.

John Durkin, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Amenia. Memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, Amenia, N. Y. 12501.

Sarah Casey BRONX Sarah Casey, 82, died Sunday at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was born Aug. 29, 1906, in County Mayo, Ireland, to Michael and Anne Maloney Kilgallen. Her husband, James Casey, died on Aug. 8, 1968.

Survivors include two sons, James Casey and John Casey, both of New York City; a daughter, Anne Wohlfahrt of Rhinebeck; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Toal, 91, a former homemaker and a Poughkeepsie resident from 1984 to 1988, died Thursday at the Ferncliff Nursing Home, Rhinebeck. A Rockland County resident prior to 1984, she was a member of the Brick Church, Spring Valley. She was born June 22, 1897, in Monsey (Rockland County), to Halloran and Elizabeth Bassett Brown. She married Robert Dudley Dorion, who predeceased her in 1957. Her second husband, Richard Toal, predeceased her in 1966.

Survivors include a son, Richard Dorion of "Poughkeepsie; a sister, Frances Brown of Monson, three grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
