Born on September 28, 1924 to Paul and Blanche Peyonak, her first years were spent in Seattle, Washington until the family eventually settled in New York City. She worked at Gayhead Elementary School in the Wap pingers Central School District for many years and enjoyed her time working with her co-workers and students.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Modugno. They were married on June 30, 1946 at St. Luke's in the Bronx. Their family includes her daughter, Jeanne Modugno Betti, her husband, John, and their six children: Stephanie and her husband Richard Jackob, John and his wife Laura Lee Betti, Paul, Daniel, Christine and, her fiance Michael Bunt, and Laura Jeanne. She spent many happy times and Sunday dinners with her great grandchildren, Timothy, Evan and Luke Jackob.

She is also survived by her sister, Audrey Schultz off the Bronx along with many nieces and nephews. She. was predeceased by her brothers, Paul and Richard, and her sister, Patricia Schindler. Venezuelan ex-president dies at 82 CARACAS, Venezuela Former President Luis Herrera Campins, part of a generation of political leaders who helped end a decade of dictatorship and usher in democracy in 1950s Venezuela, died Friday. He is survived by two sons, Rocco Zappia and his wife, Maria of Stamford, and Carlo Zappia and his wife, of Pawling, NY, and a daughter, Maria Zappia-DiMarzio of Montreal, Canada. Two sisters, ten grandchildren, and nine great children also survive. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Maria Rosa Caruso Zappia; two brothers, and a sister.
