Mrs. Eckrich J. Kovac Miss Susan J. Kovac of Fulton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Paul A. Kovac of 8 Scott Terrace, Town of Poughkeepsie, the bride of Robert J. Eckrich of Utica in recent ceremonies at Hendrick's Chapel, Syracuse University, performed by the Rev. Rick Blair. The bridegroom is the son of Caroline Eckrich and Raymond Eckrich, both of Newark.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Ellen Kovac of Poughkeepsie, as maid of honor. Anthony Fiumara of Rome, N.Y. served as best man and Philip Livingstone of Utica served as usher. Following a reception at the Brae Loch Inn in Cazenovia, the couple departed for a wedding trip to Bermuda. They will reside i in Clay.

Mrs. Eckrich is a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and the State University College at Plattsburgh with a B.S. degree in home economics. She also holds a masters of science degree in adult education from Syracuse University. She is a Cooperative Extension agent in Oswego County.

Mr. Eckrich attended Newark schools and was graduated from College in Holland, with a B.S. in biology. He also holds an M.S. in adult education from Syracuse University and is employed as an assistant professor of medical technology at the Utica College of Syracuse University.

Andrew's Episcopal Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Walsh of 19 Laurel Park Road.

The bridegroom is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. William Dougherty of Newton, N.J. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Debi Vadola of Pawling as maid of honor. Michael Walsh, the bride's brother, served as best man.

Ushers included Steve Walsh, the bride's brother, and Jim Castro of Poughkeepsie. Christopher Dougherty, the groom's son, of Hyde Park, was ring bearer. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the bride's parents home. The couple departed on a wedding trip to the Poconos. They will reside in Hyde Park.

Nursing group to meet The Hudson Valley Nurse Practitioners will meet at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at The Mill House, Mill Street, City of Poughkeepsie. Dr. William Peck, obstetrician and gynecologist, will speak on "Common Gynecological Problems: Diagnosis and Treatment for the Primary Care Provider." Also on the agenda will be an update on bills for legislation for the Nurse Practitioners in New York State; discussion of the fu? ture structure and election of officers of Hudson 'Valley Nurse Practitioners.

Following a reception at the Bishop Scully High School, Amsterdam, the couple departed on a wedding trip to Mexico and Florida. They will reside in Wappingers Falls. Mrs. Burger is a 1975 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School, Amsterdam, and a 1978 8 graduate of the State University College at Albany.

She is presently a candidate for an MBA degree at Marist College and is an associate buyer for IBM, Poughkeepsie. Mr. Burger is a 1974 graduate of Arlington High School and a 1978 graduate of the State University Collegeat Albany. He is a candidate for an MBA degree at Union College and is a teacher in the Arlington Central School District. She is employed as an elementary teacher in the Wappingers Central School District.

The bridegroom was graduated from Ridgewood High School, and received his bachelor's degree in construction management from Utica College of Syracuse University. He is an estimator for C.B. Strain Sons Inc. in Poughkeepsie. Mrs.
