Hopper, a longtime Beacon resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla after a brief illness. He was 84.

Born in Orange, New Jersey on October 1, 1929 he was the son of the late James F. and Lillian M. McGrath Hopper. A Beacon resident for eighty years, Tom attended St. John's School and Beacon High School.

He was employed at Texaco Research Center in Glenham for forty years. He was an avid golfer with a scratch handicap in his younger days. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. He was a parishioner and usher at St.

Joachim St. John the Evangelist Church, a member of the Dutchess Golf Club in Poughkeepsie and the Southern Dutchess Country Club in Beacon. Tom was married to Barbara Picard Tasetano for forty four years. In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Hopper, Jr.

and Mark and his wife, Carol Hopper of Cold Spring; his step-son, Paul Tasetano and wife, Janet of Fish-kill and step-daughter Gina Bopp and husband, Wayne of Beacon. He is also survived by his brothers, James Hopper and wife, Claudia of The Villages, FL, John Hopper and wife, Kathy of Fishkill; his sisters, Mary and Betty Hopper of Beacon, Patricia Burke and husband, Dave of Beacon and Anne Champlin and husband, Ray of Nelsonville; his grandchildren, Kelly, Mark Philip and Olivia Hopper and Justin Tomlins, Jared and Seth Tasetano; and his great granddaughter, Chloe Tomlins. The family will receive their friends on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m.

Love, jVaSale amd all youv 07td ami flzwuly. MILLBROOK Beatrice Anne Molella, 66, a lifelong resident of Millbrook, died Sunday, March 16th, 2014, in Savan nah, Georgia. She was born in Millbrook, NY on January 24, 1948, daughter of Dominic Molella and Amelia Galli Molella. She was in the first graduation class of St. Joseph's Parochial School.

She graduated from Millbrook High School and Franklin School of Science and Art in Philadelphia, where she received a degree in Laboratory Technology. After graduation, Beatrice began her career with Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT, where she worked for 40 years before retiring as a Lab Supervisor. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and active with Meals on Wheels. Beatrice was "Aunt Bea" to many and was notorious for her wonderful baking and cooking skills and known for her generosity and kindness towards others.

Beatrice will be dearly missed. Surviving are her siblings, Salvatore Molella, Lou Molella and his wife, Gerry, Dominic Molella and his wife, Gloria, all of Savannah, GA; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, May 19, from 7-9pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Millbrook. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, May 20, at 10am at St. Joseph's Church, North Millbrook.

Born April 4, 1922 in Essen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Laura Hecker Kleisser. Her first job was with an employment agency which she left after a year for a better job with a higher salary in the insurance industry.

She then became Paralegal for Speiser, Shumate, Geoghan, Krause and Rhinegold Attorneys, New York City. For a few years, she managed their branch in White Plains, New York and returned to New York City to continue with this prestigious law firm for another 38 years. She enjoyed this position immensely and became a confidante for many influential clients, lawyers and judges. A resident of Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie for close to 40 years, previously of Cortland Manor, NY, Renate was a driver for "Fish" allowing disabled people to attend various appointments, a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, and a member of the Red Hats at Castle Court, the Hyde Park AARP Chapter, and the 39'ers in Hyde Park. She was honored to be a Server at Communion at St.

Timothy Lutheran Church, along with assisting at various functions. On October 2, 1944 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tremont, Bronx, New York, she married James McHale. Mr. McHale predeceased her on May 23, 1993.

On May 13, 1998 in St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Hyde Park, she married Howard Bernard. Mr. Bernard predeceased her on November 10, 2007. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Renate is survived by her daughter, Janet Hutsko and husband, John, of Hopewell Junction; grandchildren, Kimberly (Hutsko) of Wappingers Falls, Christopher (Hutsko) of Newburgh, Vincent Coniglio and wife, Elizabeth Greenlee, of Ridge-wood, New Jersey, Christine Gillespie and husband, Brian, of Brasilia, Brazil, Matthew Coniglio and wife, Tricia, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Jonathan Coniglio and wife, Fran, of Harrison, New York, Sarah Coniglio of Chicago, Illinois, and David Coniglio and wife, Cassie, of Portland, Oregon; stepchildren, Jim Bernard and wife, Susan, of Keene, New York, Joan Schrom and husband, Joseph, of Babylon, New York, step-grandchildren, Anna, Sara (Bernard), Joe, Jacqueline (Schrom), Heidi, Michael (Kolta); great grandchildren, Suzy, Bella, Jack, Ronan, Kate, Jake, Caroline, Lauren, and Isaac.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her daughter, Susan McHale Coniglio, stepdaughter, Kathleen Kolta, and stepson, Thomas Bernard. Temperature bands are highs for the day. Memory of Joseph P. Skovan On his 1st Anniversary in Heaven OBITUARIES Steven L. Gierloff SWANZEY, NH Steven L. Gierloff, of Swanzey, NH died unexpectedly on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Cheshire Medical Center.

He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on June 29, 1959. He attended Arlington High School. Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and most importantly spending time with his family. Survivors include mother, Macene Gierloff; two sisters, Lorrie Gierloff and Kathy Porter and husband Bill; two brothers, Brent Gierloff and Gary Palmeri; three daughters, Tonya Gierloff and husband Alan, Tammy Doro-bisz and husband Peter and Tina Johnson and husband Joshua; four grandchildren, Logan, Cameron, Alana and Sofia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his father, Christian Gierloff.
