In Memoriam HYDE PARK Gilbert Burtis Hicks, 90, of Hyde Park, died on Satur- day, June 23, 2018, at The Eleanor Nursing Care Center at Hyde Park, in the care and comfort of his loving family. Born on August 10, 1927, in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Burtis J. and Julia Rhodes Hicks, Sr. He attended the Prospect Hill School, Clinton Corners and was the longest living mem- ber of the Clinton Alliance Church in Clinton Corners where he was the longest living member. He retired as a truck driver from the Teamsters, Local Newburgh, NY.

In 1976 he moved to Florida and later worked in the water department for the City of Stuart, FL from 1977-1989. Most recently he was employed by Flagship R.V. Sales in Clermont, FL. Gilbert served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947 He was a member of the Moose Lodge Hyde Park, and the West Clinton Fire Department. Survivors include his son, Ray L.

(Sandra) Hicks, Hyde Park, son, Gilbert Burtis (Sue) Hicks, Catskill, daughter, Lorraine (Bill) Devens, Pough- keepsie, son, Burtis (Nancy) Hicks, Poughkeepsie, son Patrick D. (Lori) Hicks, Staatsburg, daughter, Susanna (Peter) Dema, Ulster Park, daughter, Hope Joy Hicks, Hudson; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Ina Millie Hicks. Friends and relatives may call on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Hyde Park, NY. A memorial service will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be made in the family plot at Schultzville Cemetery at a later date. Cremation already took place. family respectfully requests memorial donations to the Clinton Alliance Church, the Moose Lodge and the West Clinton Fire Department, where he was a lifelong member. Vincent Albert NEW PALTZ Howard L. Babcock 61, of New Paltz passed away on Wednesday June 20, 2018 surrounded by his family after fighting a long illness. Howard was born in Poughkeepsie a son of the late Morgan H. and Doris L. Beaten Babcock.

Howard was a by trade and worked many years for Vanguard in Poughkeepsie. He loved to be outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Howard had a big heart and loved by all that knew him. Howard is survived by his longtime girlfriend Ilene Epstein, his estranged wife, Sue Babcock, brother in law Kevin Titus, his children, Howard L. Babcock Jennifer Farce (Kyle), Charles Babcock (Lisa), and Doris Rivera (Raymond), his siblings, Mary Culver, Frances Campbell, Delores Walters, Sandra Babcock, Gertrude Darrol, and Carol Bab- cock.

He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and neph- ews. A daughter Barbara Babcock, a grandson Jeremy Babcock, and a brother Morgan (Junie) Babcock, all died previously. Friends may call 5 to 7:30 PM Tuesday at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. At 7:30 PM following visitation Sister Maria Lopez will officiate his funeral service.

Babcock Sr FISHKILL Grace Frances Manise, 99, an area resident for 17 years, died peacefully at home on June 25, 2018. She previously lived in the Bronx.

Born on April 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Saverio and Grace (Cantesano) Iuele. Grace worked as a dress maker in the Garment District of Manhattan for many years until her retirement. In 1955, she married Nicholas Manise who pre- deceased her in 1988 after 33 years of marriage. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Iuele; her nieces and nephews, Vincent and Rosemary Orlando, Vincent Iuele, Richard and Liz Iuele, Al and Linda Iuele, Kathryn and Barny McNamee, and Peter and Kendra Iuele; and many great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. In addition to her husband and par- ents, Grace was also predeceased by her siblings, Domenica, Frances, Andrew, Adele, and Vincent.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by burial at St. Cem- etery in the Bronx.
